No Pudge
Raspberry Fudge Brownie Mix
I
admit it. I am a big fan of the
regular No Pudge brownies, but I
was a little bit wary about the
raspberry flavor. I love
raspberries, but sometimes that
is a problem because raspberry
flavored things taste… well…
raspberry "flavored" instead of
like actual raspberries.
So,
with a little trepidation, I
embarked to make the raspberry
No Pudge brownies. And the
verdict is in…
Wow.
Raspberry No Pudge Fudge
Brownies are just as yummy as
the original No Pudge brownies,
but with a hint of raspberry.
The flavor is fresh tasting and
not artificial at all --
probably because the good folks
at No Pudge use natural
raspberry flavors instead of
what some other products use --
which I am sure is some crazy
chemical compound designed to
work equally as raspberry food
flavoring and public restroom
air freshener.
Okay, back to the brownies. So,
if you aren't familiar with No
Pudge, the brownies are all
completely fat free and
reasonably low calorie. They are
thick and fudgy and chewy and
definitely satisfying. The
raspberry version of No Pudge
offers all of these great traits
with a hint of raspberry for
those who need a little variety
in their chocolate intake.
One
box of mix makes 12 good-sized
brownies, each with 120
calories, no fat and of course,
no trans fat. The all natural
ingredients include cane sugar,
wheat flour, dutch cocoa (full
of antioxidants!!!!), egg
whites, cornstarch, wheat
gluten, vanilla, salt and baking
soda. Yum. It doesn't get much
better than this. (Unless of
course you put some whipped
cream and fudge sauce on your
brownie, but that is probably
better not mentioned here…)
Coming up next... Cappucino No
Pudge (that one is harder to
find!)
